It’s our first in-person summit for Northwest Illinois since 2019, and it’s just around the corner. On December 9, 2022, Blackhawk Hills and the region’s stakeholders will meet in Oregon, IL, at the Lorado Taft Field Campus cafeteria, a remote facility of Northern Illinois University (NIU).
The event will feature Lightcast’s Joel Simon (VP of Strategy and Growth and past VP of Workforce Strategies), NIU Center for Governmental Studies’ Mim Evans (Senior Research Specialist), the Economic Development Administration’s Emily Rhodes (Economic Development Representative), and other speakers to be announced.
Topics covered will include workforce development trends/skills needs, housing development, local foods sourcing, and regional economic competitiveness. The cost to attend is $30/person.
